I am very impressed with the service and care from all personal at Oakmont Advanced Dentistry. From the moment I entered the office for my 6-month cleaning/exam, I was greeted by friendly receptionist, and then taken to exam room by technician, who was very pleasant. She explained what she was going to do (X-rays) and was very careful while doing so. The hygienist was excellent! She was so careful and meticulous with cleaning, being careful not to damage the gum tissue. I met the dentist who was most welcoming and did a great exam, and made recommendations and explained them. When I left, all office staff in front were so nice, and I told them how impressed I was with the way the office was run. Highly recommend!

Easter brings joy, family fun, and candy-filled baskets—but without a little care, those sweets can harm your teeth. To enjoy the holiday without regret, it’s important to guard your goodies by knowing which treats are safer and which ones could cause trouble.
What to Watch Out For
Candies that are sticky, chewy, or sour can be especially damaging. Think jelly beans, caramel eggs, and marshmallow treats.
These sweets cling to the surfaces of your teeth, feeding harmful bacteria and encouraging plaque buildup. Sour candies are even worse, combining sugar with enamel-eroding acids.
Smarter Candy Choices
Not all Easter treats are a threat. Solid chocolate, especially dark varieties, melts quickly and doesn’t stick to your teeth, making it a far better option.
Chocolate with peanut butter or nuts is another smart pick, offering texture and flavor with less risk of long-term damage.
Easter Tips for Healthy Teeth
If you’re going to indulge, do so shortly after a meal. Your mouth produces more saliva during mealtime, which helps rinse away sugar. Sip water after eating sweets, and be sure to brush and floss before bed. Also, avoid grazing on candy throughout the day—frequent sugar exposure can lead to decay.
With a few thoughtful habits, you can fully enjoy Easter while taking time to guard your goodies and protect your smile. Keep your teeth in top shape this season—book your spring dental visit at Oakmont Advanced Dentistry today!
