Oakmont, PA Dentist Offers Dental Implant Restoration & MoreMeet Doctor Thomas Czech Read Transcript
I decided to get into the field of dentistry because when I was a kid I did have some fillings done, nothing huge or anything like that, but I did remember that my dentist, he was really good. He would give injections, I didn't even know they were done until I started feeling numb. I didn't think that was a big deal until I heard other stories, you know, bad stories about the dentist and things like that. After thinking about it, I started shadowing him, and after seeing what he did, I really liked it. I realized I could work with my hands. I could still do a lot of thinking and problem solving and also be able to emulate some of the care that he was providing, and that's what drew me to it.
I did my bachelors degrees at Michigan State University and then I did my dental degree at LECOM School of Dental Medicine. After that, I found myself in Pittsburgh. I've done a couple big CE courses, but usually if I'm not working and I'm here, I'm in the back learning something, because there's just so much to learn. So much new stuff, new techniques and all that, and I'm just trying to stay on top of it.
Whatever I'm doing and I do a good at it, patient's satisfied, patient's happy, and that's really what's rewarding. It doesn't matter what I'm doing as long as it's done well and the patient's happy.
